Just to wrap up, I decided to unistall Wubi, as I opted for a small 
virtual hard drive when I installed, and decided I wanted a larger one. A 
web search indicated that, though possible, enlarging the existing virtual

disk was problematic. I tried to uninstall using the XP add/remove control

panel, but no joy. Same with the uninstall exe in the Kubuntu folder. This

may be because I am using a Macbook which uses EFI. In any event, I found 
this link (mind the wrap)

and it uninstalled Wubi cleanly. I plan to reinstall and choose a larger 
size for the virtual drive later tonight.
