upping sunique limit

by george.herndon@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Dec 6, 2006 at 06:54 AM

hi, i have the same question as this earlier post from 2000. i didn't
see a follow-up, so apologies in advance:

When I use the 'sunique' (uses STOU indide) command and put up to six
files, it behaves *almost* like a Unix server. The only difference is
that
Unix servers call it "file", "file.1", etc... and WarFTPd calls it
"file",
"file(1)", etc...
When I try to send a seventh file, I get an error saying it won't
accept
any more. I need it to accept something like 300 to 400 files. I have
looked through the online help, dialog boxes, and web site to no avail.

1) Can I somehow raise the limit from 6 to 400?

2) Can I get it to name files like Unix FTP servers?

btw: Congrats, IIS completely blows STOU sup****t issuing a 'success'
message followed by a *really* cryptic error message. The Windows FTP
client doesn't even show 'sunique' as a command, so many Windows users
don't even know it's existed for almost 20 years unless they read RFCs!

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate any help provided - Jy@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
